FIELDNOTE GUIDANCE

What these conditions mean for your crops

This station measures the shared air conditions in its growing area. Fieldnote interprets those readings against the crop profile selected below; different crops can receive different guidance from the same station readings.

Create a growing area in Garden & beds to get started.

Crop guidance

Selected crop profile

Temperature reference
10–34°C
Broad tolerance range, not an optimum.
Relative humidity
No numeric target
Humidity guidance is not enabled in this version.
Knowledge source: Embrapa Hortaliças — Tomate de Mesa: Clima. Additional fruit-ripening note: Embrapa AGEITEC: Clima.

Air temperature

Waiting for data
Temperature guidance will appear when sensor readings are available.

Relative humidity

Waiting for data
The sensor reading will be shown, but no unsupported crop-specific target will be applied.

Additional crop information

During vegetative growth, adequate water supports development. This profile does not yet contain a validated numeric soil-moisture target.

Not measured by the current station: soil moisture, soil temperature, solar radiation, and rainfall. The current SHT31 cannot measure these conditions.

Research draft, not a diagnosis or a complete growing prescription. Embrapa's 10–34°C range is a broad tolerance range for development and production, not an ideal temperature band. Germination has a separate 15–25°C optimum reference. Temperature and ambient humidity alone cannot determine irrigation, disease, or treatment needs.
Garden & bedsCreate beds, edit crop profiles, and assign sensors

Organize your growing area into beds. Each bed can have its own crop and growth stage. Only crops with implemented Embrapa temperature references appear in the crop selector. Some growth stages may have no defensible reference.

Create a bed

Set up the bed's growing profile once. Fieldnote will use it whenever you open this bed in Guidance.

This organizes where Fieldnote associates the station's readings. It does not change the physical sensor connection.

Prototype storage: garden, beds, crop stages, and sensor assignment are saved in this browser on this device. Sensor readings are retrieved from Supabase.
